Year 3 Maple Class Visit to Pizza Express
Children in Year 3 enjoyed an amazing experience at Pizza Express at Gloucester Quays this morning and had the opportunity to learn about the pizza making process with the professionals!
The session started with children listening to and discussing where each of the ingredients comes from to make a fresh and mouthwatering pizza. After that, the children had the chance start making their own mini pizzas! Children added passata to their pizza base, added a layer of cheese and then scattered herbs across the top - it would seem that this is the magic ingredient that makes a pizza taste amazing! After a short time in the oven, the children were able to see their marvellous doughy creations before the pizzas were boxed up, ready to take home.
The class were very excited enjoy this pizza making experience led by professional chefs - and even more excited to taste their pizzas!
We are extremely proud of Maple Class for their well-mannered and mature attitudes during our morning out and think there could be some chefs in-the-making in our class!
